Tom Quinn joined the fund as its founding CEO in August 2017 and has since been recognized as one of the top business leaders in the region. Tom spearheaded the fund’s highly successful fundraising efforts and worked to systematize its due diligence processes, which place a rigorous analytical framework around the firm’s social enterprise ideals. These efforts have led the fund to being recognized as an innovator in the field of place-based impact investment, as recognized by the October 2022 article in Forbes, “Place-based impact investing takes off in Buffalo, NY.” Mr. Quinn has started and exited several different companies, including an IPO on the Nasdaq stock exchange. He currently serves as board treasurer of the Empire Discovery Institute and TechBuffalo, board secretary of Upstate Capital Association and sits on several other regional boards and committees. He is known for his business acumen and collaborative nature, helping companies and people look outside of their silos to focus on the bigger picture. Mr. Quinn is passionate supporter of his hometown and believes deeply in its budding resurgence.
