WNY Impact Investment Fund CEO Tom Quinn named to list of influential business leaders

Tom Quinn took on the role of founding CEO at the WNY Impact Investment Fund to create a new way to invest in the future of his hometown.

We’re proud to announce his mission has once again been recognized by Buffalo Business First in their annual Power 250 ranking of local business leaders.

Tom, who was named 142nd most influential personon this year's list, has appeared in the rankings for four consecutive years. He's moved up each year, 243 (2022) to 167 (2023) to 158 (2024).

Following a successful career as an entrepreneur and executive, Tom decided to join the Fund as its inaugural CEO in 2017. Back then it was just a crazy idea: creating a place-based social impact investment firm in Buffalo, NY, when most of the world barely understood those words. But Tom has raised more than $20 million for the Fund, which has been redeployed into 15 local companies that show both commercial promise and a dedication to improving Western New York.

These companies are helping revitalize neighborhoods, creating hundreds of good-paying jobs and making products that solve real problems in this region. After completing a record five investments in 2024, Tom is already at work creating more local deals in 2025.
